Dr. Thomas Mathew, Executive director of SEEDS India, International Campaigner for Vision 2020 of Mayors for Peace and Peace Representative of the World Peace Prayer Society (WPPS) presented Peace Poles to Mr. Kazumi Matsui, Mayor of Hiroshima and Mr. Yasuyoshi Komizo, Chairman of the Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation at an event took place in Hiroshima a few days before the 70th Anniversary of the Atomic bomb disaster. Dr. Mathew has been associating with WPPS as its Peace Representative for more than a decade. The Peace Pole symbolizes the oneness of humanity and a common wish for a world at peace.
